Give your website a Google Caffeine injection. |
What is Google Caffeine?
Recently Google went public on its “secret kind project” that they call Google Caffeine. Google is completely changing its current search infrastructure, not only modifying it as in the past. Nobody is more into search than Google. That is why they introduced Google Caffeine as the next generation web search architecture.
How will Google Caffeine influence my website?
According to Google, Caffeine will render faster search results, index more pages and render more relevant results. In the eyes of every company, better search results is when your own website ends up on top of Google. Is this what you can expect? Is this good news or bad news? If my website is currently on top of Google, will it still be after Google implements Caffeine? Well, it could be that you might find your site sink down on search engine result pages, so its worth the effort to educate yourself on the topic and be prepared when Google launch Caffeine.
You can be sure that it’s coming…
Please note… it’s when they launch, not if they launch. Google Caffeine is coming, we just don’t know when. There is an overall feeling that Google is pushing towards real time search, but time will tell if this is true or not. That’s why it’s a confirmed fact that even non-coffee drinking internet searchers will soon get their fare share of caffeine daily.
Google did however say that most users will not even notice a change in search results. So, the best thing to do is to wait for the implementation of Google Caffeine and monitor search results. Lets wait for the dust to settle before changing to much. The best way to ensure ranking is to build a good and relevant website, the kind with information on that people are looking for. Google will continue to reward quality content and quality links. As long as you don’t keep your website static, you will continue to win with Google Caffeine.
The key: Good content and social media practices.
So, if you thought that social media is not for you, think again. If you are not yet adding good content to your website frequently, you will have to start. After adding the content, get it out there via social media with the hope of getting quality links back to your website. Google will continue to notice this and it will improve the importance of your site at Google. The internet will always be about good content, so most important, don’t have a never changing website. If you already implement this on your site, then you don’t need to worry about Google Caffeine affecting you negatively.
